How did you get to where you are now?

By pure chance, I was given some shop space and went for it. I quickly realised floristry is an awesome industry!

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I love to travel and I always look for flower shops, display and markets. I enjoy seeing the flower customs from different cultures.

What is your favourite part about your work?

Creating the awesome bouquets and arrangements, then seeing the expressions on people’s faces when they see them.

What are you excited about for your business this year, and for the future?

It’s great to see that floristry is changing again, with new shapes and colour palettes of late being very inspirational. I’ve seen lots of lush greens, irregular bouquets, soft pink tones and sprayed leaves, flowers and ornaments.

What is your advice for couples getting married?

Keep true to yourself and get what you like. You can’t re-do it, so choose what suits yourself and not just what’s trending on Instagram.

What are you excited about for the expo?

All the energy of the exhibitors, those organising it and of course everyone attending! It always recharges my batteries and gives me great inspiration for the future.

What do you love about the Melbourne Wedding & Bride Spring Bridal Expo?

A lot of things, including the great organisers, interacting with industry colleagues, long chats to excited brides. I love showing off what I can do for each bride, and presenting the professional side of my business.

What is your favourite flower?

Even before I was a florist, the Cymbidium Orchid will always be my favourite flower. No matter what colour it is, they’re all unique!
