Why did you decide to get into the food truck business?

Rather than a café that’s anchored in one spot, we loved the idea of being flexible with our locations. The ability to take our food where the events are happening was exciting, but at times challenging!

Tell us a bit about yourselves, what do you like to do in your spare time?

We’ve just purchased a vintage train carriage, which we’re restoring as a tiny home! It’s been relocated to the Victorian countryside, right next to a tranquil river. We’ve called her Lucy Caboosey!

What is your favourite part of your work?

We love when we get compliments from our customers, especially those that rave about how wonderful our food is!

What do you do to prepare for a wedding?

Once the food and drink menu has been selected by the couple, we brainstorm on the best way to present the canapés and cocktails. We also like to create a little surprise dish or garnish for the day to suit the style of wedding.

Are there any ceremonies you have been a part of that been particularly special to you?

We were privileged to be invited into Johanna and Lisa’s wedding not long after the ‘YES’ vote. It was such a celebration and there were lots of happy tears! It’s always our aim to blend into the background, while providing food and drinks that always exceed expectations.

What are you excited about for your business this year, and for the future?

We are really focussing on diversifying our catering capability, to transfer our skill set into banquets, grazing tables, tasting paddles and tapas. With the explosion of Instagram advertising, there’s a lot of opportunities to present large quantities of meticulously presented food.

What is your advice for couples getting married?

The only person you need to negotiate with on your wedding, is your partner! So, be sure to follow your heart and include the activities and themes that will make you and your significant other happy. Don’t forget to enjoy the day, and don’t sweat the small stuff!

What are you excited about for the expo?

It’s our second time at the Melbourne Wedding & Bride Summer Expo. We met such wonderful people last time we were here, and we can’t wait to interact with the couples and all of the exciting new exhibitors!

What do you love about the Melbourne Wedding & Bride Bridal Expo?

It’s such a fun weekend for us, everyone is so friendly and it’s clear that they all genuinely love what they do.
